Looking for excellent coffee and flaky pastries? Backstory (one of their three locations) is right around the corner from the hotel and worth a trip!
Jack's favorite IPAs, our second date (got destroyed playing "Parks and Rec" trivia), and situated above one of the coolest mini-golf courses called "Can Can Wonderland!"
Our first date, where Jack proposed to Suzie, and the best burgers (debate us!) in the cities? What more could you ask for?!
An essential Minneapolis location, with beautiful views of the Mississippi River and Downtown. Go for a walk or rent bikes (Lime, Spin are popular). Stop by for a coffee at FRGMNT or a drink / food at Aster Cafe, some of our favorite spots near the bridge.
Take in all MN has to offer along the "Chain of Lakes" (consisting of lakes: Cedar, Lake of the Isles, Bde Maka Ska, Harriet). Walk or rent a bike and enjoy nature in the middle of the city. Stop for drool-worthy cinnamon rolls at Isles Buns & Coffee, or food / drink at the lake-side restaurants on Bde Maka Ska (Pimento Kitchen) and Lake Harriet (Bread and Pickle).
Take in the fall colors! For a brief get-away walking distance from the Embassy Suites hotel, try visiting the well maintained trails of the nearby MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge and Visitor Center.
A MN classic, although we rarely visit! Conveniently close to the airport and hotel. If you haven't been to the theme park (located in the center of the mall), we recommend "Shell Shock," the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle spinning shell ride.
