Just a 20 minute drive from Woodland Park, Cave of the Winds is a historic natural landmark filled with unique rock formations. They offer a variety of guided tours from walking to crawling and climbing through chambers, so you can explore all the caves at your own comfort level.
More than 950 feet above the Arkansas River, the Royal Gorge Bridge is a wonder to behold. Located an hour south of Woodland Park, this park offers sweeping views of Royal Gorge. Drive the bridge yourself or take a gondola ride across the gorge!
Dubbed "America's Mountain", at 14,115' Pikes Peak is the 53rd highest mountain in the United States and one of the easiest to summit! The summit can be reached via a 1 hour car ride from Woodland Park, or for a more relaxing trip up the mountain you can take the Cog Railway! A 3 hour drive north of Woodland Park, this is one of our favorite places in Colorado, with over 300 miles of trail available to choose from. For a more relaxing visit, drive Trail Ridge Road for sweeping panoramic views of the park.
