Flight
Montrose airport (MTJ) is the recommended airport for getting to Telluride. It is about a 1.5 hour drive to Telluride. There are multiple car rental companies and shuttle services to get from the airport. Both Mountain Limo (970-728-9606) and Telluride Express (970-728-6000) are great shuttle options. You can book a private shuttle if you are traveling with multiple people or a seat on a shuttle for $65. There is also an option to rent a car, but you will not need a car once you arrive in Telluride. A full list of shuttle services is linked below.

Telluride Regional Airport is a small airport located 10 minutes outside of town. This airport is primarily used for private planes but it is possible to fly commercial here however the flight options are limited and expensive.

Grand Junction is located about 2.5 hours away from Telluride. They also have shuttle options to Telluride.

DEN is about 6 hours from Telluride and has a ton of flights. The drive from DEN to Telluride is beautiful with many scenic stops along the way.

THE GONDOLA Whether you're planning to stay in Mountain Village or Downtown Telluride, there is a free gondola that goes between both towns. Gondola hours are 6:30am to 12am (until 2am on Friday & Saturday nights). GALLOPING GOOSE BUS (DOWNTOWN TELLURIDE) If you're staying on the Downtown Telluride side of the mountain, you can get around via the Galloping Goose shuttle. This free shuttle runs every 20 minutes between 7 am and midnight daily, and stops are located every few blocks. DIAL-A-RIDE SHUTTLE (MOUNTAIN VILLAGE) If you're staying in Mountain Village, you can get around via the free Dial-A-Ride Shuttle, which operates daily between 6:30am and midnight. In order to book a ride, you can call (970) 728-8888 or schedule rides via the app, which we also recommend downloading ahead of time. There is also a free bus that travels between the Meadows and Mountain Village Center.
