Best Man

Jacob has been Jack's closest friend since elementary school. Jack and Jacob's friendship can be described as a brotherhood. Growing up, these two basically lived at each other's houses. Jack and his family moved cities and schools when they were entering their 6th grade school year; this did not keep them from seeing each other and hanging out. Around this time, Jack's parents became Jacob's godparents. That is when Jacob indeed becomes the brother that Jack has never had. They have had their fair share of disagreements and fights throughout the years but have always pushed through. Jacob has been there throughout the engagement and wedding planning process. As best man, he continues to have his hands complete with random tasks and driving all over northern California for " wedding activities" (range days and apparel fittings), although they do not think he minds. Not only does the relationship between Jack and Jacob matter, but the relationship between Jacob and Ruby matters almost as much. These two have no problem getting along and going on whatever wild adventure each other plans, from range days to trips to Reno, taking engagement photos, and just sitting around enjoying each other's company. They couldn't be happier to have Jacob take on the role of best man.

Annay Calderon

Maid of Honor

Annay is Ruby's little and only sister. They didn't get along for most of their life together. Ruby didn't want a sister, and Annay was a pain in her butt. As they got older and bonded more, Ruby thought having a sister wasn't so bad after all. Ruby loved her sister and would do anything for her. In the beginning, when she first saw Jack, she thought Jack was trying to kidnap her sister and thought Ruby was easy to kidnap because Jack bought her flowers and thought, "Wow, that's it?" She was afraid and waited in the living room all day to make sure her sister arrived, and when she did, she still didn't like Jack. Jack couldn't get a single "hi" from her for about three years until finally, one day, when. Ruby and Jack got their wisdom teeth pulled out. She saw a change in her sister and wanted to be with Jack and help him. She also helped Ruby with the dogs, whom she loves dearly and made sure they were okay, and that's where Ruby saw the change in her, especially about Jack being around. She claims it because she has to live with the fact that he's not going anywhere, but Ruby knows deep down she likes having Jack as an older brother to not only look out for hr older sister but her as well. Throughout the years, she warmed up to Jack, and now they are inseparable, just like she's his little sister. Overall, Annay looks out for Ruby and makes sure she's okay even being the little sister, Annay is not just Ruby's sister but her Best Friend.

Nelson Ramos

Nelson and Jack's friendship started on New Year's Day 2006 when Nelson was born. For those who don't know, Nelson and Jack are cousins. They were forced to like each other with a 5-year age gap. It's safe to say that toys were constantly a problem with them growing up and being together. As they grew older, they started to enjoy each other's company and got out of their way to hang out. When Ruby started to come around, they were both very awkward with each other, as that is their personality. As time passes, they become very comfortable with each other, constantly cracking jokes and roasting each other, roast including Nelson not being able to release the parking brake on Ruby's car when asked to move it. Ruby and Jack now try to compete to get Nelson the best/funniest gifts for birthdays and Christmas. Nelson was an obvious choice to be part of the wedding party as he is always willing to try new things, even if it may make him uncomfortable. They are glad to have him involved in our special day.

Alyssa Rocha

Ruby met Alyssa through their friendship with Jack. Right away, Alyssa was so friendly and welcoming, someone Ruby became close to. They weren't as close as they are now when Ruby and Jack first started dating and everyone lived in the Bay Area but Ruby still always wanted to hang around Alyssa or go to any events she was especially going to as well. She Always made Ruby feel like she was apart of the group or made sure she knew all the traditions and events going around which always had Ruby feel at ease and happy Alyssa was there. It wasn't until Alyssa went to Sac State, moved to Sacramento, closer to Ruby and Jack, and would frequently hang out. She introduced Ruby to line dancing and country clubs where they would go to dance. Alyssa would go to game night at their house and share the same obsession with Zach Bryans's music. To the point of last year, they all went together to his concert and had a great time. Thanks to her, Ruby is more country with, of course, Jack's help. She is always energetic and a light of sunshine, and Ruby is fortunate to have her support for this day and more important days to come!

Chris Cortez

Chris and Jack go back to their jr high days. These two met through a friend in 7th grade and had similar interests. Though they didn't hang out too much outside of school that first year, they were still close. They became closer the following year by having classes and sharing a hobby of skateboarding. From there, the time just seemed to fly by, from playing video games to learning how to work on cars together. Their hobbies just seem to always be the same. High school is when their friendship really became more of a brotherhood. Chris and Jack were together almost daily as Jack built his Jeep and Chris modified his car. Through that process, they grew as people, and their relationships grew stronger. Chris is the one who introduced Ruby and Jack together. Ruby and Chris are cousins, but that never affected their friendship. Chris and Ruby's relationship was mostly competing in video games. Chris has been there through all of Jack's vehicles and helped get them to where they were. Chris has been a big part of Jack and Ruby's relationship, and they are excited to have him involved in their big day.

Maria Perez

Ruby and Maria worked in the same classroom at John Adams Academy. They bonded over their love for similar music and styles and how they helped each other during work. Maria had a huge heart and passion for helping kids just like Ruby and were inseparable when it came to help the kids especially together. Once they both left the school, it didn’t stop them from hanging out and becoming best friends. Maria was there for Ruby in here toughest year at the time and didn't leave her side. Always checked in and made sure Ruby knew she was there for anything. She was truly the only family Ruby had up here in Sacramento that she could always be there and give a shoulder to cry on and think of ways to lift Ruby up or ways to help. They would go out every Saturday to shop, hang out in their homes, paint, and play video games. She was even trying to get Ruby to finally watch Harry Potter. Even though Ruby didn't care for it as much it was the thought of them doing anything together that Ruby loved and would do. She owes Maria everything and would also do anything for her too. Maria will always be a huge part of Ruby's life and a life long friend she s very glad she met and has in her life.

Tyler Veloza

Tyler and Jack became friends in 7th grade. They had a class together. They shared a love for soccer and rolled with that. In 8th grade, they were both involved in the music program and went to a competition in Disneyland. In high school, they had one of the same friend groups and just got closer and closer from there. Their love for shared interest in soccer quickly changed to a shared love for cars. Tyler would come over after school and help out Jack building his jeep; boy, do they have stories of the dumb stuff they did. Tyler quickly became a big part of Jack's life as he continued to help with his vehicle modifications. Ruby and Tyler's relationship revolves around competing in Mario Cart; it is safe to say they are both competitive. Jack and Ruby are happy to have Tyler as a groomsman.

Anabel Agraz

Anabel was also introduced to Ruby through a mutual friendship with Jack. She was around a little but when Ruby first moved in with Jack she was more apart of Ruby's life as well. At first it was hard to get by with both of them being shy but once they were able to break the ice and get to know each other they became good friends fast. She would come frequently. She especially loved seeing little Chapo when we first got him. She would often confide in Ruby, and Ruby would be there for her as much as she needed, trying to be a good Friend. She would tell Ruby stories about how they grew up together. She is someone whom Ruby can count on to be there for her. Jack and Ruby are so grateful to have her by our side and forever a part of our family.

Jacob Bower

Bower!!!!! Jacob and Jack met just a couple of years ago when they were both at UTI in Sacramento. At first, the two did not get along at all. After having a class together, they became close. Bower started to be at Jack's house almost daily as he didn't like his roommates and liked Jack's. They shared a common interest in cars but completely different cars. Jack Has always been more truck/off-road/American vehicles, and Bower was more euro/ supper car. They each opened their minds to what the other was into and was for the best. Bower was around when Jack was rebuilding his jeep and truck and got to watch and help in the process. Bower also was around when Jack and Ruby started to live together. He was the good, bad, and ugly. No matter what, he was always there for both Jack and Ruby and would go on random trips and marketplace deals. Even when Bower was on the other side of the country for training, he stayed very much involved in Jack's life. He is probably the fastest person to be considered family to Jack and Ruby; they are very happy that he will be a part of their special day.

Patricia Mathew

Patty is known as the little sister of the group. She is actually Kyle's little sister and was always around whenever everyone got together at their house. She would get dragged into exciting things that Jack and Kyle would do, especially anything that had to do with their cars. Ruby was always quiet until she finally opened up to Patty, and they became close friends. Ruby would always feel like she needed to join us wherever we went or that we needed to include her in our adventures, whether she liked it or not, to ensure she was there for it all. There was a specific memory that Ruby loved when they all went out to eat at Applebees, and it was fall time. Ruby wanted this faux pumpkin, and Patty returned and stole the pumpkin for her. Since then, Ruby has displayed that pumpkin every fall. Every weekend in summer, she would find Ruby and Jack just chilling at their house without her knowledge, and every time she would go out, we would make sure where she was going with whom and to, of course, have fun. Of course, Jack and Kyle would beat down her just like she was both of their little sisters, but Ruby and Ginger would also back her up and make sure the guys didn't tease her too hard. She knows we all love and care for her; we are just one big, dysfunctional family. Of course, Jack and Ruby think of her as a family they are fortunate to have, and she was an easy person to think of on our special day.

Kylie Mathew

Kyle and Jack have known each other since Jack moved to Sacramento in 2019. At this time, they were both working at America's Tire. They both were the old ones out from the rest of the staff and started to become friends. They bonded over a love of modifying cars. They quickly began to hang out outside of work. During the pandemic, Kyle spent most days with Jack and Ruby on random missions to Dutch bros or working on cars, from putting an exhaust on Kyle's sti to putting a new clutch in Jack's Jeep. Jack even got his first speeding ticket in Kyle's car, which, to this day, still gets brought up. Kyle was there for the good times and bad; he watched Jack and Ruby's relationship go from the lowest point to the highest. Kyle also opened up to not just Jack and Ruby but opened the doors to his family. They have been treated like family since the first time. There were many car meets, BBQs, range days, and random adventures through those times. Jack and Ruby are very thankful to have Kyle be part of their special day.

Ginger Lewallen

Ruby and Ginger met on New Year's Eve 2020; It was the first time they met Kyle's Girlfriend. She was initially shy, and Ruby helped her with the decoration and photo backdrop. They ended up talking the whole night, getting to know each other, and obsessing over baby Chapo. Since then, they have had a double date for Valentine's Day every year, regular game nights, or going with the guys to their car shows. Whether its dealing with both guys, discussing the future, or just their obsession with chickens these two were always laughing and having a great time together. From seeing midget wrestling to playing Jackbox games mainly at the Mathews' home, especially in summer, to being great friends overall. They especially bonded more with love, Disney (the Princess, and other old-time classics). They are each other's escape, especially when it comes to the guys, and will always find a way to have an adventure or just find something to talk the night away about. Ruby honestly thanks Kyle for bringing her into our friendship and life (but will never say it or actually thank him), and now Ruby has a genuine friendship she never wants to lose and will be forever grateful for.
