Things To Do

We're thrilled to share with you a few of our favorite things to do and places to go for entertainment throughout your time in Tacoma!

Owen Beach

5605 Owen Beach Road, Tacoma, WA 98407

This is the beautiful beach where we got engaged! Enjoy kayak rentals, sitting by the water, and watching for plenty of marine wildlife!

Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park

5361 Yacht Club Road, Tacoma, WA 98407

This is one of our favorite spots to grab a coffee from Jewel Box and walk around to enjoy the beautiful scenery of The Puget Sound.

Point Defiance Park

5400 North Pearl Street, Tacoma, WA 98407

This is the state park that our house is across the street from! The wedding venue is also within the park. The Rose Garden, Zoo/Aquarium, Owen Beach, & 5 Mile Drive are all within park grounds as well.

Mount Rainier National Park

WA

If you so choose to extend your stay in the area at all, our top "bucket list" item is to make the 1.5 hour drive to Mt. Rainier National Park. If you have your hiking boots, our favorite trail is The Skyline Loop up in Paradise.

Duke's Seafood Tacoma

3327 Ruston Way, Tacoma, WA 98402

In our opinion, the best fish & chips in Tacoma! Enjoy waterfront dining at a casual seafood restaurant in which we frequent.

Lobster Shop

4015 Ruston Way, Tacoma, WA 98402

This has become our favorite happy hour on the Ruston waterfront! Be prepared for beautiful views, bar seating, & great seafood samplers. Our favorites are the lobster roll & oysters.

Olympia Coffee Roasting

2601 North Proctor Street, Tacoma, WA 98407

Our favorite cup of coffee in Tacoma!

7 Seas Brewing

2905 Harborview Drive, Gig Harbor, WA 98335

This is our favorite brewery! It's in the beautiful neighborhood of Gig Harbor in which you'll drive across the well-known Narrows Bridge to get to. It is on the loveliest downtown strip with shops stocked with local goods.

Chihuly Museum of Glass

Tacoma, WA 98402

If you're looking for an indoor activity, check out the famous Chihuly Glass Museum!
