Jack & Rachel’s story may best be told by their friends who always knew crushes were forming under the surface even as the two insisted they were just friends for years. Jack & Rachel can’t quite agree on which New York rooftop they met on, but that doesn’t seem to matter, as something was put in motion from the very start. Even though they wouldn’t officially date for another two years after that first encounter, Jack & Rachel quickly formed a close relationship and from then on couldn’t seem to shake one another. There is something so lovely about finding a person with whom you just click. Rachel was never shy to invite herself to Jack’s parties (specifically the 4th of July party at his parents’ home in 2020 where his dad was made to believe they were already dating), and Jack was taking Rachel on dates long before anything was made official (with Rachel's mother advising on her outfit choice even though it "didn't matter they were just friends"). Finally, after two years of friendship and one-off dates, they made it "official". Since then they have gone on many more "official" dates bringing them to their final date as boyfriend and girlfriend on a hike in San Sebastián where Jack asked the big question. Rachel's primary concern on the hike pre-proposal was to quickly reach their end destination - a very highly recommended lunch - and it is safe to say a proposal far exceeded any expectations for that day (although the stuffed crab, seafood paella & and champagne at Casa Cámara did not disappoint). They will forever be thankful to whichever NYC rooftop they met on, and similarly thankful to the people around them who saw how well they loved one another before they saw it themselves. They cannot wait to "officially" celebrate.
