Santa Barbara is fairly easy to get to if coming from out of town located just 90miles from Los Angeles. There are a variety of ways to get here and beautiful accommodation options in Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas including hotels, beachside Inns and AirBnBs. Unfortunately, most hotels do not allow room blocks in Santa Barbara, we are so sorry that we do not have a set room block to accommodate everyone. Please find some of the top recommendations below, either way... you can't go wrong!

Flight

Santa Barbara Airport

Santa Barbara Airport is the most pleasant and convenient travel option as it is a short 10 minute drive to downtown! However, airlines that fly in and out of SBA are limited. Flights by Alaska, United, American, Delta, and Southwest are all offered in and out of this airport!

Flight

LAX

LAX is the largest hub in Southern CA and provides the most flights at a more affordable price. LAX is about 1hr and 30mins from Santa Barbara. There are rental car services, the SB AirBus, and the Surfliner train that will all get you here anywhere from $30-$100.

Train

Amtrak Surfliner

The Amtrak is an amazing option for getting to Santa Barbara as it runs up and down the coast of California. You basically get a coastline tour from LA to Santa Barbara the entire way up with a full bar, cafe, and wifi on board. It is truly a pleasurable experience for a good price!

Travel Note

SB Airbus

This is the best bang for your buck! We frequently use the airbus to travel from LA to Santa Barbara and it has never failed to take the stress out of a travel day. This is a coach bus that picks you up directly at your terminal at LAX and is rarely full. It makes just 2 stops on the way before arriving in Santa Barbara, usually taking about 2.5hrs at most! Your drop-off location for Santa Barbara will be La Cumbre Plaza, located just 5-10minutes from downtown. Tickets are just $50!

Hotel

Harbor View Inn

28 West Cabrillo Boulevard, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Harbor View Inn is one of the most loved hotels in Santa Barbara, mainly known for its perfect location in the heart of SB with a view of the ocean, pier, and harbor across the street. It's an easy walk to all restaurants, bars, wineries, and shopping with lots of action on the streets, especially on a sunny August weekend.

Hotel

Hotel Milo Santa Barbara

202 West Cabrillo Boulevard, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Similar to Harbor View Inn, this is a great beach front option located in the best area of Santa Barbara. A quick walk to the harbor or downtown!

Travel Note

Santa Barbara Airbnb

This is the best option for accommodations in Santa Barbara and highly recommended if you are traveling with 3+ others. Properties go fast, so please be mindful that during this holiday weekend options will be limited the longer you wait!! We encourage you to start booking within the next month to get your most ideal vacation home!

Travel Note

Carpinteria State Beach Campground

We have one campsite site (8 people max) at Carpinteria State Beach Campground. For those interested in a more adventurous and rustic weekend experience, this is a great option. The campground is located directly on the beach and located in the charming town of Carpinteria (Just a 5 minute drive to the venue)! If you would like a spot at the site, please contact Jack or I immediately since space is limited! We love camping here and walking into town for great food and local craft beer!
