A little bit of both! We mainly just wanted to gather our families and friends to celebrate all the exciting new developments in our lives before our baby girl arrives this fall. Since we didn't end up having the big wedding we were planning on, we thought this would be a good way to bring everyone together to party!
We're keeping things pretty casual - think summer chic, casual / cute energy. Jumpsuits, dresses, sets, linen pants, etc. We love a good statement piece though, so go as bold as your little heart desires!!
For a hotel in the area we would recommend the Hyatt Hotel in Royal Oak, but there are also a plethora of Air B+B's to choose from! Or if you want to pop down to the city, there are plenty of gorgeous old hotels in Downtown Detroit to explore.
