Jack and Makayla met in 2019 during their freshman year at Seton Hill University. Both were student athletes and quickly became part of each other’s everyday college life. What started on campus quickly felt right as they realized they shared a strong bond and a genuine friendship. Over time it became clear that Jack and Makayla fit seamlessly into each other’s families and lives and that they shared many of the same passions, interests, and values along with plenty of laughter along the way. They spent five years at Seton Hill together earning their degrees while Jack played baseball and Makayla played lacrosse. Through long seasons, busy schedules, and growing into adulthood side by side their relationship only became stronger. After college they bought an 1800s farmhouse adopted their dog Kona and began building a life together one project and one memory at a time. In December of 2025 Jack asked Makayla to marry him at Bushy Run Battlefield in front of a rock wall where they had taken a photo together years earlier. It was simple, meaningful, and perfectly them! Looking back it is clear that God knew exactly what they needed in each other and they are grateful for the path that brought them together. They cannot wait to celebrate with their favorite people and begin the best chapter of their lives together!
