Jack and Macy met online during the pandemic quarantine in 2020. Jack sent Macy a message commenting how good her cat must be to pose so nicely for photographs (since Macy's cat Romeo was present in her profile picture), and since Romeo is the key to Macy's heart, she continued the conversation. Although they weren't able to meet in person for a bit, they continued talking and began having virtual video game dates watching the Meteor Showers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Once the quarantine ended, Jack and Macy finally were able to meet in person, and on July 2nd, 2020, Jack formally asked Macy to be his girlfriend. Since then, the two have made many memories and their relationship grows stronger every day. On March 15th, Macy's birthday, Jack got down on one knee and proposed, making Macy the happiest woman in the world. Friday, October 16th was chosen as their wedding date since it is the day Macy's paternal grandparents and parents got married. Macy is thrilled to be the third generation to celebrate love on this special day.
