Jack and Mackenzie met at a New Years Eve party when a mutual friend introduced them. The next day, Mackenzie was on the beach with her friends, and Jack felt like he had to go down there and talk to her. They dated long distance for the first few months then Jack moved back to Tampa. They have been inseparable ever since!

Mackenzie's family was in town for vacation after Christmas, and Jack and Mackenzie were spending the week with them. Since they started their relationship at the beach on New Year's Day, Jack thought it was fitting to propose at the beach exactly two years later. Of course, Mackenzie said yes!
