Travel Note

Getting to Granada

10 Paseo del Generalife, Granada, AN 18009, Spain

We recommend flying into Madrid, Barcelona, or Málaga, all of which offer convenient connections to Granada. From Madrid or Barcelona: You can take a short regional flight directly to Granada (about 1 hour). Both cities also offer easy ground transportation options — the high-speed AVE train from Madrid takes around 3.5 hours, while from Barcelona it’s about 6 hours. Comfortable long-distance buses are also available, taking roughly 4–5 hours from Madrid and 12–13 hours from Barcelona. From Málaga: This is often the most convenient route. Granada is about 1.5–2 hours away by car or bus, making it an easy and scenic journey through Andalucia. You can rent a car at the Málaga airport, take a taxi, or use one of the frequent ALSA buses that connect the two cities. Note: If you’re flying directly into Granada, there’s no need to rent a car — the city is very walkable. In fact, we recommend not renting one, as the streets are narrow and parking can be limited. Taxis and public transport are readily available, and most main areas (including the Albaicín, city center, and wedding venue) are just a short distance apart.

Hotel

Hotel Palacio De Santa Paula, Autograph Collection

Travel Note

Chez Moi Homes

For accommodation, we recommend Chez Moi Homes — a local company offering beautiful short-term rentals throughout Granada. Lucia’s family lives in the Albaicín, one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods, so we suggest staying there or near the city center for easy access to wedding events and attractions. Chez Moi Homes offers a variety of apartments and villas, perfect for couples, families, and groups.
