Our culinary team is pleased to offer the following selections: 1. Braised short ribs with Parmesan mashed potatoes, sautéed winter greens, red wine jus and crispy onions 2. Butternut squash ravioli with sage brown butter cream, roasted wild mushrooms and shaved Parmesan (you may ask without mushrooms if this is your meal choice) 3. Pan seared halibut with wild rice pilaf with cranberries and pistachio, heirloom beet salad, citrus beurre blanc
This is a black tie event. Please dress formal. Ladies may wear long dresses and gentleman may wear tuxedos. Dark grey or black suits with a tie are also acceptable.
The ceremony and reception will take place inside. However, cocktail hour will be on the outside patio of the mansion. Please bring a shawl or light jacket should it get breezy.
Please arrive by 5:30pm the latest. Guests will be let into the small ballroom at 5:45. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6pm and end exactly at 6:15pm.
Yes. The Newport Trolley will pick up all guests from the Newport Marriott hotel only (at 4:45pm. Cut off is 5:30pm) and stop directly at Rosecliff Mansion. The same will apply on the way back to the hotel once the evening is over. The last trolley drop-off is at 10pm. If you are not staying with us at the hotel and will not be using the trolley, there is free parking available at the mansion. Please state your name and provide your invitation at the mansion gate upon arrival. Or you may drive to the Newport Marriott and join other guests on the trolley.
Please see the accommodations page on our wedding website. A room block is available under the Hallas-Chen wedding for the Newport Marriott only. We do not have a room block at the Wyndham Hotel or Pell by Hyatt. Both are beautiful stays.
We know your kids are awesome, however, this will be an adult only event.
