Like all great modern love stories, we met on a dating app. After we matched on Hinge, we went on our first date at Milwaukee Brewing Co. (now Pilot Project Brewing, located right across the street from our reception venue). Our relationship grew from there and we’ve been together ever since. We’re excited to celebrate our wedding almost exactly 5 years since that first date!

It was a couple days after their 4-year anniversary and Jack had planned a day full of surprises for Laura. The plan revolved around their favorite spots in Milwaukee and things they have wanted to do in the area. They went to brunch at one of their favorite spots, Toast, followed by sampling a coffee flight at Pilcrow Coffee. They spent the rest of the morning at the South Shore Farmer’s Market, riding the pedal swan boats by the lake and grabbing lunch at their first date spot. For the afternoon, Jack planned a wine & cheese tasting at Cedar Creek Winery. Finally, Jack & Laura made their way out to Lakeshore State Park. Jack proposed to Laura, surrounded by Lake Michigan, the city skyline and a beautiful sunset. Their engagement photo shoot was followed by dinner & champagne at one of their favorite restaurants in the city, Avli. With one more trick up Jack’s sleeve, he brought Laura to their favorite rooftop cocktail bar, where a private room and two dozen of their friends were waiting to surprise her and celebrate. It was a perfect day and the start of the next chapter in their lives.
