Officiated by Mason Dunn Vows Handfasting with Kit's family The handfasting is a symbolic unity ritual showing Jack and Kit as two individuals freely joining together and making a binding contract with their vows and commitment to each other. The handfasting cord symbolizes the vows and how their commitment to one another binds them together. They are choosing to wrap the cords around their clasped arms and to tie the knot themselves to show that they are freely making this commitment without coercion or fear.
