El Dorado Kitchen (or "EDK" to locals) serves contemporary California cuisine in an atmosphere that embodies a sophisticated, yet relaxed wine country spirit. Helmed by Executive Chef Armando Navarro, who has trained under some of the best chefs in the country including Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Richard Reddington, El Dorado Kitchen’s award-winning menu highlights Sonoma ingredients that change with the seasons. The restaurant also offers a robust wine list, heavily tilted toward local Sonoma and Napa wineries, alongside signature cocktails crafted using only the finest spirits and fresh juice infusions. They do have a secret cocktail menu and the Peach Jalapeno Martini is to die for!
Pangloss is located right on the plaza is spectacular. The decor is fabulous and we recommend doing one of their wine and food pairings on a comfy sofa!
You can find Three Sticks in downtown Sonoma. Their historic Vallejo-Casteñada Adobe is the longest-occupied residence in Sonoma and one of the town's few remaining buildings from California's Mexican period. Please allow 60 minutes for tastings and 90-120 minutes for private luncheons. Three Sticks requires a reservation for all Adobe experiences - this is not to be missed!
Sojourn Cellars' sophisticated tasting salon is located just off the square in downtown Sonoma. Their seated tasting experience allows guest to compare their Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon wines side-by-side. This is by appointment only.
We recommend Ernie's Tin Bar for shelled peanuts and draft beers - no cellphones allowed (so of course Jack is a big fan!). We love dive bars and this place takes the cake. Please note this is about 10 minutes outside of Sonoma but worth the trip. Everyone loves a good hole-in-the-wall! Fun fact: this is where we asked Kasie's oldest brother, Danny, to be our officiant.
Jack London State Historic Park is a memorial to writer and adventurer, Jack London, who made his home at the site from 1905 until his death in 1916. For those interested in hiking, Jack London State Park in Glen Ellen has trails for all levels. Come prepared with your hiking shoes, sunscreen and don't forget your camera for the incredible views. Please note it is about 20 minutes away from Sonoma Plaza.
Scribe is a fun, hip place to go wine tasting. The views are spectacular, the wine is great and might we recommend doing the food and wine pairing in the newly restored Hacienda! Reservations are required, so schedule early as they sell out every weekend.
Take a little drive....halfway between Sonoma and our Wedding Venue to Glen Ellen Star. It is a small restaurant with amazing food. Everything is fresh and local and is sourced from their own biodynamic garden. The veggies come out in cast iron skillets and are to die for! Hint: order the brussel sprouts (Kasie's fave!). The best you will ever have!
