Semi-Formal Attire This is a step up from dressy casual attire, but not quite as bold as cocktail attire or as fancy as formal attire (i.e. black tie and black tie optional). When dressing for a semi-formal wedding, aim for understated and elegant looks—think streamlined blazers, dress shirts, pantsuits, elegant dresses, and simple accessories. Something to keep in mind that we will be having an OUTDOOR, in the SNOW ceremony. Heels may be difficult navigating in the snow, as well as suede or velvet could get water spots on them, so wear at your own risk! Be sure to wear a warm jacket. Blankets will be provided at the ceremony site.
Only the ceremony will be taking place outdoors in the snow, so please dress accordingly. See "What is the dress code" FAQ for more information. Cocktail hour and reception will take place indoors.
The only data we have to offer is the weather on Dec 12, 2024, it was 46F high/ 16F low or 8C high/ -9C low, with a chance of snow.
We have rented out the entire lodge which will be reserved for the wedding party to book. Please reach out to Jess for details on those specifics. As for the other guests, please start booking your lodging through the "Travel" tab. There are many VRBO/AirBnBs to reserve for the day. The Silverpick location is directly next to the lodge. The other locations suggested are only a few minutes away. If you are staying there, I suggest to rent a car for easy navigation purposes.
Please reach out to Jack or Jess separately by phone or email.
Durango is a small town, Uber/Lyft will be limited. We recommend either booking a rental car for the duration of your stay (most flexibility) or companies like Buck Horn Limousine offer private transportation services from the airport. You will need to book in advance and discuss your specific destination, Silverpick, with them.
