We're Getting Married!

Both of us were Merchandise Managers at Dollar Tree, just at different stores. In January 2023, Jennifer was loaned out to Jack's store twice a week for over a month while they were short on management. While we barely saw each other, only to change shifts, we clearly had an unspoken admiration for one another. One morning, Jennifer opened Jack's store and started to make a bale since the baler was full. Unfortunately, she made a mistake which caused the balers' chain to break. After phoning Jack to tell him what had happened (and that she did all she could do), she spent the entire shift anticipating Jack to be angry with her when he arrived. When he got on shift, Jennifer apologized repeatedly for the incident. Much to her relief, Jack wasn't mad. In fact, he was very understanding. However, what was more surprising to her was when Jack started to act nervous. With Valentine's Day only a couple days away, Jack asked Jennifer out right then and there! Of course, she said yes! Jack created the most memorable first date. He made a reservation at a local Thai restaurant, and we went to a drive-in movie afterwards. Ever since this unforgettable evening, we've been inseparable. We became official on March 8, 2023 during our third date. We've gone to a couple lovely places in the state, such as the Pier 39 Aquarium of the Bay and Calaveras Big Trees State Park. We enjoy trying new restaurants together. Mainly, Jack likes to get Jennifer to try cuisines she's never had. We enjoy taking walks around Folsom on at least a weekly basis. We're so excited to continue these adventures and more! Since moving in together, we've enjoyed cooking together (or for one another) and maintaining a space of our own as a team. We've had numerous pet fish since we moved in. More recently, we added an adorable orange kitty to our lives named Fanta. He's a precious mischief maker! Of course, the most eventful moment for us thus far was our trip to the Texas Eclipse Festival in Burnet. We had a blast checking out everything the festival had to offer. However, the most magical moment was during the totality of the eclipse when Jack proposed to Jennifer. "I would have married you yesterday!" said an excited Jennifer, accepting the proposal with zero hesitation. So, there you have it. You're all caught up on our story. Things have changed since we met, naturally. Jack now works at Carvana and he's taking courses to achieve his real estate license. Jennifer is still at Dollar Tree but has plans to move on to new things after the wedding. We can't wait to be husband and wife and start a family of our own!
