Very pretty and unexpected in DC. Check to see if it’s open or if there are capacity restrictions. As of April 2021 - Bartholdi Park and the Terrace Gardens are open, but the Conservatory and gated gardens are closed.
Some of the museums are open and others are opening soon! Check out the website to see what's open - the museums require free times entry tickets that sell out quickly. You can reserve them sometimes before the museums open so check them out online!
Walk around the National Mall and see the Capitol, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial (Jane's favorite), the Reflecting Pool, and Lincoln Memorial. Smithsonian outdoor exhibits are open, and some of the museums are open or are opening soon!
You can walk along the water and see the new Wharf area, get some drinks at Tiki TNT or Whisky Charleys (rooftop views!), swing on the dock swings, or even take the jitney across the water to Hain's Point, where at the end you can see planes take off and land at Regan National Airport. There's even a golf course here too!
Brewery in Southwest DC. You can take a brewery tour here and they have delicious food too!

Walk around Georgetown, but definitely stop by here for a cupcake! Best cupcakes (not Georgetown Cupcake). Then walk to the waterfront and sit along the grass to enjoy.
