The year was 2005, and Hannah and Jack found themselves in the same 7th grade home room class. Hannah noticed the strong and silent type cute boy sitting a few desks down from her, and immediately had a crush. Unfortunately, Hannah was just as shy as Jack was, and words were never exchanged. Jack doesn't recall Hannah being in his class at all, so you could say this love story starts as a slow burn. Jack finally noticed Hannah their senior year of high school, when they were introduced through mutual friends. He used his new puppy, Malley, to convince Hannah to hang out with him, which, needless to say, didn't take much convincing, and sparks started to fly. The two adventurous spirits that they are, they embarked on separate journeys around the country over the next 10 years, with Jack moving from Columbus, OH to Buffalo, NY, and eventually, to Portland, Oregon. Hannah moved to the Carolinas, and eventually started travel nursing, which took her to New Jersey, California, and eventually- you guessed it- Portland, Oregon. From there, it was friendship turned to romance in a whirlwind. Hannah and Jack both rented rooms from their dear friends, Max and Jaclyn, and within a matter of weeks, found themselves in the 2020 COVID lockdown together. With a LOT of newfound time on their hands, they quickly realized their compatibility, falling in love in their robes over puzzles and backyard fires. As life slowly resumed its normalcy, they spent their time exploring the Pacific Northwest together, bonding over a shared love of outdoor activities, dogs, and the Portland food scene. Needless to say, the rest is history.
