We had our first date at Der Braumeister in Cleveland, OH on March 26th, 2019. The first time Jack asked me on a date, I was at the Airport flying to Florida for Spring Break. We promised we would go out when I got back. I remember sitting in the Orlando airport figuring out how I was going to make it work, since I was very eager to meet Jack. On that fateful Tuesday, I got off the plane and ran to meet Jack for our first date. It was love at first sight for the both of us. We shared a lovely two hours together, and both did not want the date to end yet. We ended up going to a coffee house for an additional two hours. Even after the worlds longest first date, it still did not feel like enough time. I walked away knowing that I had just met my husband.

Our proposal story is not like many others you hear, but it was perfect in every way. Jack and I were at home relaxing on a Wednesday. Henry was chewing on a toy, and we had just watched the Dinner Party episode of the Office (if you have not seen it, you need to). Then at 10pm, Jack got done on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I of course said “YES!” The story is a little bit different from Jack’s view point. Jack had gotten the ring a month before he proposed. He was very concerned with how he was going to do it and wanted to make sure it was special. However, Jack decided that he had waited long enough and the ring was burning a hole in his pocket. When I got home from work that day, he already had the ring in his pocket ready to propose. He ended up waiting for the perfect moment, instead of just popping the question. He said that he was nervous i was going to see the ring in his pocket and keep trying to hid the box all night. I personally think he did the right thing and had the perfect proposal. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
