Like many modern love stories, this one started on Hinge in Scottsdale, AZ. Jack and Gaby matched in late 2020, chatted for a few weeks, and built just enough anticipation for Jack to cancel their first date right before the holidays. Not his best moment. He followed it up by leaving a voicemail—an unhinged move for 2020—but after a trusted friend deemed it “kind of cute” (and noted the rescheduled date involved a very good restaurant), Gaby gave him another chance. That second date stuck, and so did everything else. From there, they never really stopped hanging out. Adventures, laughter, late nights, and everyday moments turned into a life—plus one very lucky goldendoodle, Calvin, with Jack proudly stepping into the role of dog dad.
