We got married!

Ei and I would like to convey our deepest thanks and gratitude to our families, friends and colleagues from near and afar, who came together to ensure the success of our marital signing and wedding ceremony, hosted on August 21, 2020 at the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Washington, DC. The historic mansion, which currently houses the Myanmar Embassy, was formerly the private residence of Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States and within it sits the official letter from King Mindon of Myanmar to U.S. President James Buchanan, marking the first ever diplomatic relations between the two countries. We are truly honored and humbled by this unique privilege to be wedded in the presence of such great history. Our thanks to parents from both sides in Yangon, Myanmar, family, and friends who attended this momentous occasion via Zoom Video Conferencing. Given that we are in the middle of a global health pandemic, we regret that we were unable to invite everyone that we love and cherish for a proper celebration in Washington. However, we hope to host a large-scale traditional Burmese wedding ceremony in Yangon, Myanmar sometime in late 2021. Stay tuned... With Love Always, Ei + Jack
