October is a great time to visit SLC! We love to spend our time in the mountains but there are also a ton of fun places and good restaurants to explore in the valley.

Things To Do

A ~5 mile hike roundtrip that looks over the Salt Lake Valley

Hike Milcreek Canyon

For a more challenging hike we recommend Gobblers Knob. ~8 mile round trip

Hike Big Cottonwood Canyon

Red Pine Lake is a fun hike! For an additional challenge, hike up to Pfeifferhorn and get great views of Salt Lake county and Utah county (~5-7 hours roundtrip)

This is Carmen's workplace! A beautiful building that overlooks the Salt Lake Valley and features over 2 million items in its collection. If you've never been to Utah this is a great way to learn about our beautiful state.
