On December 9th, 2021 Jack and Carolyn met in Portland for their first date at Thai Bloom. Little did they know that their relationship would also bloom. What was meant to be an hour long date, ended up being 8 hours of deep conversations and laughter. Two days later, they met up again and Jack deleted his online dating apps (Carolyn will consider deleting hers after the alter 🤪). They officially started dating January 1st 2022. That year was filled with spending time with their family and friends, playing rugby, singing karaoke, going to church, birding, vacations and a lot of spontaneous dancing. One of their dancing spots is a side street in Vancouver, WA with twinkle lights above. On December 26th, 2022 Jack proposed to Carolyn in that same place. There were roses, lights, music and a downpour. After he proposed, they did what they always do and danced, jumped for joy and celebrated surrounded by family and friends at the Be Well Juice Bar. Jack and Carolyn will get married this summer August 27th, 2023 at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church in Lake Oswego and then will be having the reception at The Foundry. We are so excited for their friends and family to be included.
