Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, but feel free to make the best choice for your family! Kids are welcome to roam the property but must be attended at all times. There will be a chicken nugget and Mac n cheese option for children. We kindly ask that children respect the property and surrounding nature. Please do not pick the flowers, touch/feed the animals. Please do not leave trash.

What can I expect?

Answer

This beautiful country farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains is nature focused. There is no smoking or vaping permitted on the property. Everything on the property must be respected which means no picking flowers, being mindful of where you’re stepping, and no touching or feeding the animals. We kindly ask that you respect the property and surrounding nature.

What about cell service & WiFi?

Answer

This venue is out in the Virginia countryside and cell service is very limited (no cell service within 2 miles of venue). Please take this into consideration while traveling to and from the venue. Wifi will be available upon request.

What do I need to know about getting there?

Answer

This venue is on back country roads with no lighting on the roads. The property has a dirt road driveway. Parking is limited so we encourage people to carpool.

What food options are there near the venue?

Answer

There are many great food options near Charlottesville (the main city near the venue) We especially recommend the following spots: Maybelle’s Market -great lunch spot. Great Mac n cheese, fried chicken, and biscuits Bodo’s Bagels - great breakfast spot

What should I know about the venue?

Answer

The property has a barn, main house, smoke house, and bathroom facility. Guests are permitted to use the bathroom facility and barn area. We kindly ask guests not to access the main house or smoke house. The venue has a small body of water which can be used for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding which can be accessed during the day. Please note there is a limited amount of kayaks and paddle boards; first come, first serve. There are horses, chickens, and a barn cat on the property. You may look but not touch or feed. The venue also operates as a flower farm. As with most things on the property, we kindly ask that you look but don’t touch. Parking is limited so we encourage people to carpool. There is a gravel driveway.

What should I wear?

Answer

Wear something you’re comfortable in. For men - suits, khakis, button up shirts, dinner jacket are all acceptable For women - cocktail dresses and semi-formal dresses/outfits are appropriate, best to try to avoid sundresses/linen/tshirt dresses
