How We Met

2012

Everyone probably knows this story by now, but we'll go ahead and tell it anyways. We met at Mission Hills High School at the beginning of the school year in 2012. Jack yelled "HI BAILIE" through the hallway during school and I was smitten, right? Well, not quite. We steadily built a great friendship around a group of great people in high school, but quickly realized that what we had was so much more. On November 21st, 2012 we went on our first date and saw the amazing film "Pitch Perfect" and that night Jack asked if he could be my boyfriend. Little did I know this was going to be the first and last time someone would ask that question.

After High School

2014-2018

Jack graduated in 2014 and began his Collegiate Baseball Career at UC San Diego. I still had two years left of high school, and a lot of people thought we wouldn't make it because of that. Now don't get us wrong, we definitely had our ups and downs, but neither of us wanted the easy way out. We knew what we had was special and we fought for our relationship because it was what was important to us. In 2016, I started my Collegiate Dance Career at San Diego State University, and the rest was more or less a breeze for us. We allowed each other to live our separate college lives while still enjoying our time together and with each other's friends.

The Proposal

2019

We all knew this day was going to come someday, but I can honestly say I had no idea it was going to be February 2nd, 2019. I started the day at a dance competition for work and Jack was in and out to support me throughout the day. After the competition was over, he picked me up and told me we were going to dinner with our parents and we had to go back to his house to pick them up. We got to his house and went inside. It was dark and seemed that no one was there and I was obviously very confused. As he grabbed my hand and walked me towards the family room I realized what was happening. There was a walkway of rose petals, pictures of us throughout the years, our favorite song playing, and at the back of the empty room was a table with the ring waiting for us. I could barely hold back my tears. Somehow, Jack was able to give the cutest little speech before getting down on his knee and asking me to marry him. I obviously said yes! Right after that amazing moment, our closest friends and most of our family stormed out from the other room and smothered us with love. It was a night that we'll never forget!
