Jackson is originally from Sweetwater, TX, and I am from Lubbock, TX. Jackson and I met through mutual friends while he was attending Texas Tech University and I was attending Covenant School of Nursing. After about a month of dating and endless conversations, Jackson asked me to be his girlfriend on November 3rd, 2021!

On the weekend after my birthday, Jackson had planned to take “family pictures” and then go to “the funky door” for my birthday dinner. We arrived at Escondido for the photos. It is a restaurant in Lubbock with beautiful scenery around it, which is the perfect spot for pictures. The photographer arrived and asked to take photos of just Jackson and I first before his family got there. I was positioned in front of him in one of the photos, and when I turned around, he was down on one knee. It took me a minute to realize the family photos were a whole set up for the proposal! He also surprised me with dinner at Escondido, where both of our families were waiting to celebrate with us! It could not have been a more perfect night and we are so excited for our future together.
