FAQ

If you have any questions or concerns other than the ones listed down below, please feel free to reach out to us personally or email us at thequallahans@gmail.com.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly reply by September 5th.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refer to your invitation to see if a plus one has been included. If a plus one has been included, their name or "and guest" will be on the envelope and/or invitation. Thank you for your understanding, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course! However, due to space, we will be limiting children to family and close friends. Please refer to your invitation to determine if your child has been invited. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress stylish, yet comfortable! Semi-formal attire is recommended and preferred, so think anywhere from mid-length cocktail dresses to elevated jumpsuits to nice button down shirts and slacks. Though our wedding celebration will be held indoors, the weather in the Midwest is highly unpredictable. We recommend planning for both sunshine and/or cooler fall temperatures (yes, you may experience both!). There will be a designated area for your coats and other personal items but please keep anything valuable with you. For our female guests, we encourage wearing flats, a wide heel, or bringing an extra pair of comfortable shoes. Our venue is an old factory building that has maintained it's original hardwood flooring from the 1800s—which may or may not be kind to slim heels!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask that all our guests arrive at the venue by 4 pm, as the wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. Our venue will be hosting other events that day, so please give yourself ample time for traveling, parking, and to get comfortable!

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Of course! Starline Factory has it's own parking lot across the street. Please be mindful that other events will be happening at the venue as well, so parking spots may fill up quick!

Question

Are there Uber or Lyft options in the area?

Answer

Yes, Uber or Lyft are available options, as well as a free, complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel, The Abbey Resort & Avani Spa.

Question

Do I bring cash for the bar?

Answer

We highly encourage bringing cash to tip the bartenders, as well as certain alcoholic drinks and/or liquors may be individually purchased at the bar.

Question

Can we give you our wedding gift in person?

Answer

Thank you! You’re welcome to bring your gift to the reception; however, we encourage you to send it directly to our home address at: 538 E. Monterey Rd, Palatine, IL 60074.

Question

And where should I stay?

Answer

Since we will be doing a mini-destination wedding, we have made guest accommodations at The Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. If you plan to book a room, please make your reservations before Wednesday, August 20th. For more information on hotels and accommodations, please visit our travel section!
