To those of you that have put up with me spewing second hand podcast wisdom I apologize to absolutely nobody. Purpose, meaning, health and wellness, and community are super important to me. And I had been floating aimlessly a bit since my Dad passed. That is, until I met you Alys. You have given me purpose. You have given me meaning. And you're stuck with me and my wisdom rants. Alys, I love everything about you. What’s not to love? But it's the little things for me Like Wendy and Bubbles Or when you pick at my belly button lint Our constant dance in the car - windows, AC, music, volume, volume, music It's your comfort in doing the mundane Or when you laugh so hard your saliva starts to corner your lips Or when you do the impossible without hesitation - like hopping completely inside the duvee cover post wash to make the bed It's your curiosity and your willingness to try something new And the deep connections you effortlessly make with others It's your love and boundless search for spice the color purple, cheese, break rooms, little spoons, pasta anything related to Y2k theme sushi, karaoke, paint, tea, comfy clothes eating with your hands, headbands, photo albums, mud, gardening, fruit trees, martinis, wings This list doesn’t begin to capture your affinity for life. You are the best of all of us, the culmination of your peoples, but you are 1:1. You're the hardest worker in the room, you give and you give and you give. You're 5'2" but you have the biggest heart. You make people feel seen. The world is so lucky to have you, we are lucky to have you, I am lucky to have you. You know I'm your biggest fan and together we can’t be stopped. And Bernie if you ever decide to leave me, I'm coming with you. So here's to forever holding dear the little things and building something authentic. XOXO, Jack
