Alexa and Jack were first introduced by Alexa's lifelong best friend (& MOH) Nicole who went to college with Jack. One rainy evening in 2016, Alexa made the trip across the Bronx from Fordham to Manhattan College... and much like their favorite movie (When Harry Met Sally) the rest was NOT history. After a failed set-up, the two went their separate ways but would occasionally see each other when spending time with their mutual friends. Although they were separated by distance with Jack living in LA and Alexa in NYC, every time they were together they left feeling an incredible connection. Finally, in early 2020, Jack moved back to the East Coast and asked Alexa on their first date. Unfortunately, the universe (& Alexa's parents) had other plans and that date had to be postponed due to Covid. What was supposed to be a two week delay quickly turned into three months, and although they weren't in touch during the quarantine period, the anticipation of what could be was on both of their minds the entire time. Against all odds, on July 11th, 2020 Alexa and Jack had their first date. Jack made chicken and Alexa brought wine and the two spent the evening talking and laughing on Jack's rooftop with a beautiful view of the downtown Manhattan skyline. This time, the rest really was history!

Alexa and Jack love the holidays together and have made their own tradition of sneaking a day off in early December to put up their tree and enjoy a touristy day in the city filled with all of their favorite Christmas activities. On Friday December 2nd, 2022, Jack asked Alexa to take the day off for their usual trip to the city, but before they made their way across the river, he suggested they stop by one of their favorite restaurants in Jersey City for lunch, followed by a walk. After their first date with the skyline view, Alexa and Jack's relationship continued to develop, often during their many long walks along the same skyline with no breaks in conversation or laughter, so Jack knew this was the perfect place to ask Alexa to spend the rest of their lives together! It was the easiest question Alexa ever answered and the two spent the weekend celebrating with their parents, siblings and closest friends. Now they are looking forward to celebrating with all of their favorite people in September 2024!
