Abbie and Jack met at New York Yacht Club, Harbour Court in Newport, Rhode Island during the 2018 Resolute Cup. Jack was coaching the Shelter Island Yacht Club team and Abbie was supporting the Sachem's Head Yacht Club team. Abbie's mother Harriet actually introduced the two, and insisted that Jack join Abbie downtown that night with some of her friends. Abbie and Jack instantly hit it off, and decided to keep in touch. Happy hour drinks led to dinner dates, and dinner dates led to weekends in Shelter Island, Guilford, and Vermont. As fate would have it, exactly four years from the day they met, Jack proposed to Abbie at Harbour Court during the 2022 Resolute Cup, surrounded by their family and friends. It is an absolute privilege to have our family and closest friends join us at The New York Yacht Club in New York City to celebrate our marriage on December 16th!
