Mark Stout
Best Man
Mark is the bride’s brother-in-law and the best man! He is a mechanical engineer and his key interests include his very energetic puppy, his 3d printer, and trains. He also used to play in the U of M marching band and still enjoys creating compositions to play for church, community, or family!
Jordan Stout
Maid of Honor
Jordan is the bride’s sister and the maid of honor! While she was initially not thrilled to get a sister for her fourth birthday, she’s since come around to the idea. She is a cardiac ICU nurse and the first one to give Aly the title of aunt!
Henry Pakela
Groomsman
Henry is the groom’s older brother and one of the groomsmen. With degrees in performance and music education from Michigan, he is known as the primetime musician in the Pakela family. He is the assistant director of bands at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School where he teaches and conducts. He is also an amazing Trombone player who performs with the Moving Mind Orchestra.
Megan Peterson
Bridesmaid
Megan is the bride’s sister and one of the bridesmaids. She is the best veterinarian in the Midwest and the only one trusted with the bride’s Aussie, Avi’s, care! She is an avid traveler and is always down for an adventure.
Vincent Pakela
Groomsman
Vincent is the groom’s middle brother and one of the groomsmen. In the Pakela family, Vincent is the car enthusiast. He owns a Porsche 928 which he loves to drive and give rides to others in. He is the best mechanic in the Midwest, a skill he puts to use maintaining his family’s fleet. He made it so that Big Blue (the Pakela’s old Chevy Suburban) could reach over 300,000 miles before it petered out.
Melody Mayer
Bridesmaid
Melody is the roommate of the bride, co parent to Avi, and a bridesmaid. They met in college through the Christian college org, Cru, and have shared so much life together since then. Melody is a therapist at a non-profit. She is a full time supplier of whimsy and coffee runs!
Bradley Barrett
Groomsman
Bradley is the groom’s cousin and one of the groomsmen. He is an incredibly talented software developer, cornhole thrower, melee player, and chess enthusiast. Him and the groom often chat on the phone, theory crafting chess moves, discussing running workouts, and checking in on one another. Along with Thomas, the three of them enjoy getting together to hang out in the DC area.
Joanna Sulimin
Bridesmaid
Joanna is the roommate of the bride and one of the bridesmaids. They met in college through the Christian college org, Cru, and have been practically inseparable since then. Joanna is an ICU nurse. You will never find her not singing or facilitating a meaningful conversation.
Thomas Barrett
Groomsman
Thomas is the groom’s cousin and one of the groomsmen. He’s an extremely thoughtful individual, always putting others first. Him and the groom enjoy playing video games with one another, especially Call of Duty. If you want to do an early morning run at the crack of dawn, Thomas is always down. Along with Bradley, the three of them enjoy getting together to hang out in the DC area.
Julia Pakela
Bridesmaid
Julia is sister to the groom and one of the bridesmaids. She is a medical physicist and a lover of chicken wings. Her and the groom share the same hair color, eyes, and birthday 7 years apart. She has her PhD from the University of Michigan where she also played the clarinet in the U of M marching band. Additionally, she loves ducks and ducklings, just like the groom.
