Jo has been my best friend since our sophomore year of high school in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The military moved us far away from each another after a couple years of a flourishing friendship. God didn’t let our friendship diminish. Joanna, Hannah, and myself regularly do girls trips, birthday visits, and (of course) weddings!! Even though our roots are planted in different states, our hearts are intertwined in the facets of God’s plan for a meaningful, lifelong sisterhood. Jo and Jack reflect the true meaning of love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. And I’m beyond excited for them and their journey ahead.

Jack and I met in high school and instantly clicked. We played football and track together and he quickly became my best friend. We grew up and our friendship became deeper and our faiths grew larger. Jack continually makes be a better person. I can’t wait for him to marry the woman of his dreams.

Joanna and I met our sophomore year of high school in good ol Grand Forks, ND. We really started to bond when I began attending the youth group on base (we love being military brats), this is also when I became close with Emily, my fellow maid of honor. It was such a blessing to have both of these girls by my side in ND because it wasn’t the easiest of times for any of us. God truly blessed me with the most kind hearted, thoughtful, beautiful, Jesus-loving, best friend a girl could ask for. My life hasn’t been the same since I met Jo and I could not be more honored to stand next to her on her wedding day. The day that we giggled and dreamed about when we were 16 and now I get to experience 7 years later.

My name is Jalen Gregory. I taught Jack how to play the drums. Just kidding. Our friendship did originate out of our shared passion for drumming, though. We often deliberate on snare sounds and compare our cymbals. I’ve known Jack for just a few short years, but he has quickly become a close friend and brother. Stoked to be a part of his special day and even more excited to see what the Lord will do in his and Jo’s life.

Joanna - she’s the big sister I got stuck with, but the best friend I got to choose. I remember the day Jo first met Jack. She called and told us all about him. Of course, her debrief was based on the singular conversation they had. Lydia and I joked about jack being her future husband, her prince charming. But the joke’s on us because she truly found her happily ever after with him. I honestly am so honored to be the little sister of such a beautiful and godly bride, and I’m so thankful for the blessing that Jack has been and will always be to Jo and my family! I can’t wait to see my best friend marry her best friend!!

Jack and I met 2 years ago at Lifegate Denver church and we became quick friends! We decided to meet up for coffee one afternoon and that’s when our brotherhood really began. That one afternoon turned into reading books together, weekly coffee hangs, lunches, and deep conversations! I am beyond thankful for our friendship and I cannot wait to stand next to him as he says “I Do” to his amazing Bride.

I’m Lydia Larson and I’m Joanna’s little sister. I have loved watching my older sister grow up and become the absolutely beautiful woman today and I am so excited to see her enter this new stage in her life. Jo has always been there for me and helped me when I needed her most. I thank God for letting me live with such a great childhood role model and I wouldn’t trade meeting Jo for all the food in the world, well depends on the food. But seriously I am so blessed to have grown up with her always looking out for me and making great childhood memories with me. I love Jo with all my heart and As sad as it is for me to say goodbye, I can’t express how happy I am to see her with someone who loves her as much as I do. I pray that they will always be pushing each other closer to God in their Marriage and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for them.

Jack and I met at the beginning of my first year at Colorado Christian Univeristy. We quickly became good friends through our commuter group and several gen-ed classes. Our love for coffee, fishing, working out and other mutual interests have brought us closer together. It's an honor to watch him mature and grow in his faith. Every moment with Jack is memorable and his Joy is contagious.

I met joanna 3 years ago, over Instagram DM’s when we were in the process of finding college roommate’s! And through God’s true guidance, we decided to share a room our first two years at CCU! Jo and I hit it off instantly. It’s a risky game when you go from total strangers to sharing a dorm room, but I could not think of a more amazing person I’d rather have had that experience with! Joanna quickly became one of my truest friends and my go-to for everything. It is a blessing to know and be known by her!! And with Jack- joanna is complete. Witnessing their love story these past 2 years has been a treasure! I am so ready for these two to say “ I DO!”

Joanna and I were roommates thoughout college and quickly became best friends! Jo and I have gone on many adventures such as weekend getaways in the mountains to spending spring break together in South Dakota. Jo has been such a joy to get to know these past few years and watching her and Jack’s relationship grow has been so special!

Jack and I’s friendship started during our time at CCU. Being able to be around him and see all that God has done in his life to impact others has been incredible to watch. He’s an amazing friend that I’ve had the best memories with. I can’t think of a time where we weren’t laughing or having a good time. I first heard about Jo when my brother was telling my family about a new prospect. I knew she was studying psych at CCU, playing keys at lifegate, and an all around great girl! Over the next several weeks and months, we started hearing more about her and met exactly the person Jack described—diligent, talented, devoted to the Lord, and beautiful. As we have spent more time together throughout her and Jack’s relationship, I have just come to love her more! I can’t wait for Jo to be one of the Vannice sisters. So thankful to see Jo and Jack’s journey unfold!

Jack and I met in Pre kindergarten around age four. He was wearing a SpongeBob t shirt and I remember him asking me if I would like to be friends with him and we immediately became inseparable friends. Although moving away around age 9 to California, we kept in contact and still remain best friends and family to this day. I am very honored to be a part of this wedding and this experience for Jacko.
