No, but you DO need to submit your Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) 3 days before entry into Malaysia via online.
It is not compulsory, but you do need to provide a valid drivers licence or passport if you plan on renting a car to drive around Miri. Just FYI, Mirians only drive between 40KMph to 60KMph because there's alot of small roads and sharp junctions youd need to be aware of. So you dont even need to press on the gas.. just the brakes more often! Parking coupons/scratchies systems are still applied in Miri, especially in open public parking spaces. So please dont try your luck without it!
