Luis and Jaci met at Youth For Christ Puerto Rico, which makes it the perfect place for their special day! Back in 2021, Jaci went on a mission trip as the girls' leader of the youth group and served for a week at the property. This is where she first crossed paths with Luis. But it wasn’t until July 2022 that they became friends. Jaci jokes that she thought he was cute back in 2021, but swears he never even noticed her. (Luis claims selective memory on that one.) Fast forward to July 2022, when Jaci returned as an intern. They had to spend a lot of time together planning out activities for REVIVE, and taking trips to gather materials. By the following year, when Jaci returned and felt the call to become a missionary, things got interesting. In July 2023, they finally acted on their feelings and started dating! However, when December rolled around, and Jaci had to go home, they felt the Lord was leading them in different directions. Four months later, through a prayerful conversation, everything changed. After hours of talking, they realized God had other plans— and the rest is HIStory.
