We both went to middle school and high school together but it wasn’t until after college that we actually started dating. We ran in the same groups in high school and always seemed to be together. We endured lots of teasing from the very same people that will be standing beside us on our big day about our “relationship,” or actually “lack-there-of.” But, high school came and went and we both found ourselves down in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the next four years. The first three of those years we grew apart and lived separate lives, barely crossing paths, if at all. Call it destiny or call it strategic planning of our friends, but senior year when a few of the high school crew came to visit, our paths crossed once again and by the end of the weekend we were going to the next date party together. Several dinners/hangouts/dates and then a final “first” kiss later we were talking about the future and decided to officially give it a go. We are going on four years of “finally”s and “I told you so”s from our friends and families and we wouldn’t trade it for the world. We could say almost every cliche in the book about how true love always comes back around and we know for certain God always had this in His plans. From best friends to strangers to husband and wife, safe to say our love story is our favorite of all time.
