Formal or Black-Tie Optional A formal or black-tie optional dress code indicates an elegant event where guests are encouraged to dress nearly as formally as they would for a black-tie wedding, but a tuxedo is not required. For Men: Preferred: A tuxedo with a black bow tie or straight tie, white dress shirt, and formal dress shoes. Acceptable: A dark, well-tailored suit (black, navy, or charcoal) with a dress shirt and conservative tie. Shoes: Polished leather dress shoes (e.g., oxfords or loafers). Avoid: Khakis, sport coats without matching trousers, sneakers, jeans, polo shirts, or casual footwear. For Women: Preferred: A floor-length evening gown. Acceptable: A sophisticated midi or tea-length cocktail dress, elegant jumpsuit, or dressy formal separates. Shoes: Dress heels, dressy flats, or formal sandals. Avoid: Sundresses, casual fabrics (such as denim or jersey), overly revealing outfits, flip-flops, or casual sandals. Black-tie optional means guests have flexibility, but the overall expectation is upscale evening attire suitable for a formal celebration.
If you are granted a plus one or a date, their name will be on the invitation or be included on your RSVP.
To allow all guests to relax and enjoy the evening, we have elected to host an adults-only wedding reception.
The ceremony starts at 2 in the afternoon, please arrive in time to be seated prior to this time.
