Jacee and JJs' paths first crossed in the hallways of Azle High School. Though they had always known of each other, it wasn't until Jacee decided to take a leap of faith that their real journey began. Their first date set the stage for their competitive and loving relationship: JJ took Jacee bowling, where she quickly defeated him! From that night forward, they knew they had found something special—their first and only true love. After graduating from Azle High School as dedicated sweethearts, they faced the challenge of college. Right before they headed off for their first year of long distance, JJ gave Jacee a sunflower ring as a promise ring—a symbol of his devotion before they began their separate journeys. Jacee headed off to McMurry University to compete in Volleyball and Track, while JJ pursued his baseball career, attending Ottawa University, UTPB, and currently UMHB. Their relationship became one of long-distance devotion. The lengthy drives were never easy, but their commitment never wavered, and their love always found a way to bridge the miles. After Jacee graduated (and while JJ took his "victory lap"), the couple joined JJ's family on a cruise to Alaska. Little did Jacee know, the family was in on a carefully orchestrated plan! They tricked Jacee into believing they were taking simple family photos in the stunning landscape of Juneau, Alaska. Instead, JJ had other things in store. He dropped to one knee and proposed! Jacee was overcome with shock, excitement, and tears of joy at the thought of spending the rest of her life with the person she had shared over five years of life with. More than just a couple, Jacee and JJ deeply cherish their families and are overjoyed to see them all combine into one big, loving unit. They are now eagerly counting down the days until they say "I do," substituting Dinkins for Hemmerling and starting their next adventure together!
