We're Getting Married!

We met working at Sonic together and didn’t think much of it. Then when we warmed up to each other from working together so much we clicked very well. He was funny and a nerd and I was bubbly and outgoing. He could always make me laugh or put a smile on my face. Only to find out he was one of my childhood best friend's brother! And it just clicked. After hanging out and getting to know each other a little more, That’s pretty much when I thought, “Okay. I'm going to make him mine.” So I did!

The morning of the proposal was lazy, spent around the house. Come lunch time we were getting ready for a get together with my family that they had been planning for weeks. We were going to "take family pictures". I was told to dress cute, do my hair and make up, and I took my dog Daisy with me as well. We got there and me and the other women of my family got into one of our regular intense card games of Gin Rummy. Afterwards, we went into the backyard and hung out as usual. I didn't think much of anything. After a while of lounging in a rocking chair by the pond with my aunt, my family called me over and asked me, "What's on Daisy?" I looked for my dog only to find her with a small sign hanging from around her neck that read, "Will you marry my Dad?" and a beautiful ring tied to it. At first I thought it was a joke and I didn't believe it. Then saw my mom crying and the eyes of my other family members on me. I was overwhelmed and couldn't believe it was real. So overwhelmed I almost forgot to say yes! Before I knew it we were engaged! We then popped some champagne and celebrated with my family and called our other family and friends with the news. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in September 2020!
