we’re getting married

Teddy, working remotely, decided to escape the chill of New England and spend a month in the charming city of Charleston. Jace was living there at the time with five other girls, all of whom Teddy had met a year earlier. Our story begins on March 6th, 2021 (a date immortalized as our Wi-Fi password) at Jace’s cozy Aiken Street house.
 What was meant to be a month-long stay turned into three unforgettable months. Teddy’s friends often crashed on the girls’ couches, and our days were filled with themed birthday parties, runs together, Bay Street Biergarten Sundays, beach trips, Mt. Joy concerts in wigs, and countless other adventures that made time feel endless.
 Though we started as friends, it didn’t take long for feelings to blossom. Truth be told, we were smitten within the first week, but we cherished the natural progression of our friendship. Jace’s sister, frequently reminded her that Teddy liked her, while Teddy confided in his friends about his growing affection for Jace. Jace even drunkenly confessed her feelings to her dad at her birthday party.
 Finally, on May 3rd, Teddy’s birthday, she (it’s always the ladies making the first move) mustered the courage to confess her feelings. That night, the girls threw a Halloween-themed party at Aiken Street, with friends coming from all over to celebrate. As we made our way to our favorite bar, AC’s, Jace told Teddy’s best friend, how much she liked Teddy. He then relayed the news to Teddy, and that night, we exchanged high-fives, celebrating the mutual confession we both had known for months.
 And so, this is the story of how two friends became lovers, embarking on a journey that began with a simple move to Charleston and blossomed into a beautiful romance. This will remind you all to take that trip because some life long adventures happen in the most unexpected places! Like a little blue house on Aiken street.
