For those who don't know their story, Jack & Jace met at a rock climbing trip in Queensland. It had been a last-minute decision for Jace to go. Together with her friend Simon, they made the 2.5 hour drive down south leaving Brisbane way before the sun came up. Jack had spent the night at a nearby campsite with some other climbers, and when Jace turned up in the early morning, he assumed that she and Simon were a couple and paid no attention to Jace. Jack further wrote Jace off after she fed everyone coffee brewed from old camping coffee grounds - it was obvious she had very low standards when it comes to coffee. Jace on the other hand thought Jack to be a bit of a climbing bimbo and was dubious about his too-happy-go-lucky vibe. Her disinterest in him deepened after Jack, acting like a total coffee snob, declined her freshly brewed camp coffee which was enjoyed and appreciated by everybody else present. A few months passed by Jace & Jack would see each other occasionally at the climbing gym. Apart from a few high-fives and friendly exchanges, there was not much else... until a mutual friend, Genya, got Jack out to come to have a few drinks at a bar where Jace was at as well. As the conversation flowed, an interest in each other was piqued - neither thought the other was what was previously assumed.
In 2022 with the borders finally open, Jace & Jack travelled back to Malaysia to spend time with Uncle Francis & Auntie Rose. They decided to take a little trip to Penang, which was where Jack proposed to Jace by luring her for a walk down the jetty under the guise of looking for otters.
On 30 June 2023, 6 years later after surviving living together, starting 2 health practices from the ground up, COVID and most recently planning an entire wedding - Jace and Jack tied the knot in the presence of their dearest and closest in an intimate wedding in Brisbane. Now we invite you to celebrate with us the beginning of Jace & Jack's life together with the rest of Jace's family and friends in Malaysia!
