we’re getting married!

Jace and Caitlin first met in high school...well, sort of. They knew of each other but never really crossed paths. Caitlin thought Jace was a little stuck up, and Jace thought Caitlin was kind of intimidating. So, it’s really anyone’s guess why they didn’t get together sooner! Years later, during their junior year of college, fate brought them both to the same New Year’s Eve party. They connected over board games that night, and by the end of the evening, Jace added Caitlin on Snapchat, because nothing says romance like a good Snapchat add. Almost a full year passed before they started talking again. By then, they were both seniors. Caitlin studying in Cedar City and Jace in Orem. Jace tried asking her out a few times, but Caitlin wasn’t quite ready to say yes. One night, he asked what she was up to, and she mentioned doing the New York Times Crossword. Confidently (and perhaps a little mischievously), Jace claimed to be amazing at crosswords. That led to a FaceTime call, during which Caitlin quickly discovered he was not amazing at crosswords, he just wanted an excuse to talk to her. From that night on, they FaceTimed every evening to do the crossword together. When Caitlin came home for Christmas break, they spent every day together. Then, at 11:58 p.m. on December 30th, Jace asked Caitlin to be his girlfriend. They were so wrapped up in the excitement that they didn’t realize it was midnight, kicking off their second New Year’s Eve together. Jace and Caitlin can’t wait to start forever together and are so excited to celebrate with everyone on June 26th!
