We met for the first time on November 16, 2014 for wine and dinner at one of my favorite BBQ spots. After a few months of dating we started our relationship and moved in together November 16, 2015. I fell in love with his humble but confident personality, his chivalry, intelligence and the way he always places our relationship above all else. He tells me that I keep him laughing everyday and I hope to do so for the rest of our lives. We love quiet netflix nights at home, seeing our friends, and most of all traveling the world and sharing new adventures. We learn more about each other with each passing year and we both look forward to what the future holds for us as our family grows.

I wanted the proposal to be a surprise before we moved into our new home together but I didn’t know when, how, and where to propose. I was really intrigued by a show about Puerto Vallarta while watching HGTV and thought that would be a great place to propose. Three months from the secret trip, I invented a cover trip to California to visit my brother/family to get Jacean to take off the days needed so I could book the plane tickets and hotel. I also convinced Jacean that I booked flights and hotels to California to complete the cover. I searched for weeks for the right ring and decided to have one custom made and hid it at my dad’s house. The day of the flight to “California” I had to sneak and pack Jacean’s passport and when we arrived to the airport I surprised her about the trip to Puerto Vallarta. I still did not know the right moment to propose after a full night in Puerto Vallarta but I knew I had to do it before time ran out. On the second night there, I was on the balcony of our hotel looking at the ocean and watching the sunset over Puerto Vallarta while Jacean finished getting dressed for dinner and I knew this was the moment. I called her to the balcony, reached into my pocket for the ring, popped the question, and she said yes! We left the hotel and enjoyed a romantic candlelit dinner on the beach planning our future together.

We will be tying the knot in front of our closest friends and family at the Hyatt Ziva Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. We chose Jamaica partly because it holds a special place in Jacean's heart as the place she grew up and we are very excited about sharing this day with all of you. We will be staying on the adults only side of the resort Hyatt Zilara tentatively from November 15-20, 2018 (we will update this once its set in stone). All events will be taking place on the Hyatt Ziva side, however, so feel free to book your stay on either side of the resort depending on your preference. Feel free to stay those same dates, shorter or longer based on what works for you. We hope you can make it to celebrate with us and also use this occasion as a vacation opportunity to explore the place she calls home. If this will be your first trip to the island, we are sure you will walk away as in love with Jamaica and its culture as we are!
