Question

When is the wedding?

We are getting married on Friday, February 14, 2025. Cocktail hour, dinner and dancing to immediately follow.

What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The dress code for our event is dressy, semi-formal attire. With the venue being a mix of indoor/outdoor in February, we recommend that men wear a sport jacket and pants, and women wear dresses or dressy pants.

What should we know about the venue?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception space are owned by The Omni resort, however, our event is not beachside, and will be about a 3-5 minute drive from the hotel. The Omni will have luxe vehicles prepared to take each wedding guest who stays on-site from the hotel doors, over to our event space. Our ceremony will be held entirely outside, in front of a lagoon. Once our ceremony concludes, we will access the indoor/outdoor event space located directly next to our ceremony space. The reception space is surrounded by water, and has both a screened-in porch area and outdoor deck. The venue is wheelchair and ADA accessible.

How do we RSVP to the wedding?

Answer

Formal invitations will be mailed out over the fall of 2024, before the Thanksgiving holiday. The invites will guide you back to this website in which an RSVP page will then be available.

What is the policy on bringing children to the wedding?

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding!*

Can I bring a guest with me to the wedding?

Answer

The names printed on the envelope of your formal invitation reflect who is invited. If your envelope is addressed to 'Your Name + Guest', then we are saving a seat for your special someone.

Where's the best place to stay in Amelia Island?

Answer

We've worked with The Omni to secure a discounted room rate ($279/night), and are working with a reservation coordinator to ensure we have enough rooms, suites and/or villas for our guests. Please visit the travel page of this website for more information and a link to book directly at The Omni upon receiving your formal invitation. While we'd love to have you stay on-site, we know it may not work for everyone. We're happy to help guide you on other hotel options if needed. Please note that if you choose to stay off-site, your access to on-site amenities will be limited.

What is the check-in time at the venue if staying on-site?

Answer

Guests can check-in to their rooms at 4:00pm EST or, can check-in as early as 12:00pm EST for an extra $75.

What is the best airport to fly into?

Answer

We have lots of out-of-state guests! We recommend flying into the Jacksonville airport (JAX) which is about ~40 minutes from the resort.

If we plan to drive to the wedding, what is the parking situation?

Answer

On the day of the wedding, self-parking at the resort is complimentary for all wedding guests. Overnight self-parking is available at $25.00 per night, per vehicle. Overnight valet parking is available at $40.00 per night, per vehicle.

What else is there to do in Amelia Island?

Answer

The Omni has a variety of on-site restaurants and bars, golf courses, spa services, beaches and heated pools for our guests to enjoy, along with excursions such as paddle-boarding, kayaking and fishing. The town of Amelia Island itself has a historic downtown area just 10 miles from the resort, including additional dining options, museums, shopping, and more.
