It all began during our first week at Tufts, where we met outside a college party and instantly hit it off. We became fast friends, spending time together as athletes in overlapping circles—cheering each other on at games and hanging out with mutual friends. Brian would invite Jac to his golf date parties (under the guise of “beer pong tournaments”), while Jac frequently asked Brian to her team’s formals—as a date for other girls! He always said no. A year after graduating, we each confided in Peter, a mutual friend, that we wished we had pursued something more. Peter, playing Cupid, made sure we knew we felt the same way about each other. In January 2020, we started talking and planned a trip for Jac to visit Brian in Denver, where he was living at the time. That weekend of exploring the city and the mountains confirmed what we both felt: this was the beginning of something special. Shortly after, COVID turned the world upside down. Brian moved back to Boston, and Jac returned to her home in Sea Girt. Despite the distance, we talked every day, FaceTimed often, and bonded over our shared love of sports, competitive nature, and hobbies (though we’ve agreed to disagree on the NY vs. Boston sports rivalry). By July 2020, we officially started dating, embarking on a few years of a long-distance relationship, with countless trips up and down I-95. Eventually, Brian moved to NYC, and we spent two wonderful years there surrounded by close friends and family. In early 2024, we found out we’d be relocating to Colorado and began a long few months living 2,000 miles apart. During this time, we adopted Rigatoni, our golden retriever puppy, who quickly became the heart of our little family. On August 17th, Brian proposed to Jac on the beach in New Jersey. We celebrated with loved ones before Jac and Rigatoni made the journey to Colorado to start this next chapter together. Planning our wedding has been such an exciting adventure, and we’re so thankful to celebrate this special day with each of you!
