Our story began with a simple match on Coffee Meets Bagel, leading to our very first date at Rita’s Italian Ice on March 11, 2022. What seemed like a small moment at the time quickly became something meaningful. Since that day, we’ve returned to Rita’s every March 11th, honoring the beginning of a love that continues to grow year after year. There wasn’t just one defining moment when we knew—it was a series of intentional moments, shared experiences, and the way we consistently showed up for one another. What we found felt aligned, steady, and deeply rooted in purpose. Over time, it became clear that what we had was something lasting. At the core of our relationship is our shared faith in the Lord, friendship, and a genuine love for doing life together. We are best friends who find joy in both the excitement of traveling and the beauty of everyday, ordinary moments. Whether we’re exploring new places or simply enjoying time side by side, we value the life we are building together. One of our favorite places is Orlando, Florida, which we consider our “happy place” and second home. It was there that Jabari created one of the most unforgettable moments of our journey. During the “Happily Ever After” fireworks show at Walt Disney World, he surprised Kristen with a proposal—stepping beautifully outside of his comfort zone to create a moment that felt like a dream come true. What we love most about each other is rooted in how we show up daily. Jabari treasures that Kristen is always his biggest cheerleader—encouraging, supporting, and believing in him wholeheartedly. Kristen loves that Jabari creates a space where she can be soft, grounded, and fully herself, and deeply appreciates the balance he brings to her life. Together, we have found not just love, but a safe place—a home in one another. And that is the foundation of everything we are building as we step into this next chapter.
