We originally met a year and a half or so before we started dating. Alex showed up at the dispensary Jillian worked at and earned the sale after Jillian convinced her manager to take him on as a vendor. We were both in relationships at that time, but were attracted to each other immediately. Fast forward to March 2018: we're both single, and haven't seen each other in at least a year. Jillian is the manager now, and Alex calls the shop to see if he can bring by some new products to show her. She remembers him well, of course, and eagerly agrees; Alex remembers her too, and is stoked. He comes by her shop and shows her product, and Jillian happily takes him back on as a vendor. During that time, we were both active on OKCupid. One night, Jillian stumbled across Alex's profile on the app and literally squealed with glee; but suddenly, she was struck by a sense of fear. What if she swiped right (aka "said yes") on him, but they didn't match? How awkward would working together be after that?! She thought about it carefully, but she couldn't stop thinking about how awesome it would be if they matched-- so Jillian went for it and swiped right on Alex's profile! No match. The panic set in: this either meant Alex hadn't yet seen Jillian's profile, or he had seen it and he'd swiped left (aka "said no"). Either way, she was on edge with anxiety. And when Alex came by her shop a day or two later, her heart was beating out of her chest with panic. She didn't think she could handle it if he'd swiped left. But within five minutes of him leaving, she got a notification on her phone: a new match... and it was him!!!! The rest? History :)
