Things To Do

Here are some recommendations for those coming from out of town or anyone not familiar with Columbus! We have included some of our favorite spots for food and drinks!
German Village

German Village

German Village is a beautiful neighborhood home to some must-see places in Columbus. Check out the Book Loft for rooms upon rooms of amazing books or the Red Stable for the best souvenirs and succulents!

Short North Arts District

Short North Arts District

The Short North has everything! Spend some time checking out bars and restaurants or treat yourself to some shopping at local boutiques. The Short North sits directly between downtown and campus, so you can find things to do in either direction.

Ohio State Football

Ohio State Football

Ohio State has an away game the day of our wedding on 9/2 (time TBD). Root on the buckeyes before you come celebrate with us!

Scioto Mile Promenade

Scioto Mile Promenade

This is a great spot to walk, take a bike/scooter ride, or have a picnic while you are in town. Walk across one of the bridges for some great views of the city.

Breakfast

Breakfast

Fox in the Snow Cafe has one of the best bacon & egg sandwiches. We highly recommend stopping in for some great coffee, the bacon & egg sandwich, and all of their baked goods. Katalina's is an amazing spot for breakfast or brunch. There are a few locations with indoor and outdoor seating. Try the pancake balls, you won't regret it!

Lunch

Lunch

North Market and Budd Dairy Hall are great options for lunch. North Market is a perfect spot to try some different ethnic foods and find some local souvenirs! Budd Dairy Hall has several food stands including lobster rolls, fried chicken, tacos and more! It has three floors of bars and seating with plenty of TVs for sporting events.

Dinner

Dinner

The Eagle is a great casual option for fried chicken and top notch mac & cheese. If you are looking for something a bit fancier, check out The Pearl or Del Mar SoCal Kitchen. If you need something quick but delicious, try Brassica for some high-tier fast-casual food.

Drinks and Desserts

Drinks and Desserts

Head to Lincoln Social, Mandrake or Stories on High for the rooftop views or find the speakeasy, Sacred Palm, in Mikey's Late Night Slice near North Market for some tropical drinks (hint - go downstairs)! There are tons of breweries and bars in the area. Everyone needs dessert, so head to Jeni's and Graeter's for ice cream or get some massive cookies from Lion Cub's Cookies!
