Full Moon Resort is remote - that's part of its charm! The venue is approximately a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from New York City. For guests deciding on airports, Albany Airport and Stewart Airport are closer options, only 1.5 hours away. Public transportation is also an option, but somewhat limited. Amtrak trains stop at Hudson or Rhinebeck, which are a 1 hour drive away. Uber and car services are available, but booking ahead is advised as our wedding is on a holiday weekend. Trailways buses (Pine Hill Route) leave from Port Authority and stop at the Big Indian Post Office, 5 miles from Full Moon Resort. Guests will have to make arrangements for someone to pick them up from the post office.
There is no cell phone reception at Full Moon Resort. You will start to lose cell service 20 minutes from the resort. Complimentary phone service for all calls within the U.S. is available at all times at the Inn. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the facility, no passwords required. Unplug and enjoy!
We will be having a traditional Indian Hindu wedding, lasting approximately one hour. The ceremony will be outside, weather permitting. Expect to walk on gravel pathways between the ceremony and reception, so wear shoes that won't sink into the grass (and will keep you comfortable dancing all night!)
Saturday's dress code is colorful cocktail attire. Long or short dresses, blazers or suits, ties optional. As this is a fusion wedding, traditional Indian attire is more than welcome! Whatever gets you in a celebratory mood. Be mindful of your shoes, as there will be some walking in grass/gravel.
During the ceremony itself, we ask that our guests be fully present and put away their phones. Guests can take pictures of the mandap before or after the ceremony.
Cocktail hour will be indoors in the Barn, with space on a covered patio. The reception will be indoors.
